"When I was a new patient at the Ultrawellness Center in March 2022, I initially ignored my physician's advice that I work with a health coach. I thought I could handle the health goals on my own. As my emerging crises came to light, I realized that maybe I should try the coach approach. As soon as I started working with Michelle, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief, that somebody was genuinely concerned about my well-being and success. My outlook on health has definitely changed since working with Michelle. Michelle is always supportive, even if I haven't completely achieved my goals from the previous session. She has helped me understand that I can still celebrate success even if I didn't meet my goals 100%. I have really benefited from discussing the tools she shared, such as the decisional balance worksheet to analyze the pros and cons of any action. In addition, discussions about "tiny habits" have been really helpful.

"I began working with Michelle on the recommendation of my physician at the Ultrawellness Center. I had been improving my eating and losing weight, but was stalled between 205 and 210 pounds and not making progress on my goal of getting to 185 pounds and other health and fitness goals.
Michelle quickly identified some issues that I had with food — especially cookies and sweet treats that always seem to show up at meetings or when I get a coffee. She also helped with developing plans for eating out and how to eat more healthfully at parties. She worked to make me accountable for my actions.
After working with Michelle for a few months, I am able to confidently skip the sweets and have developed healthy habits for eating out — even at the Holidays. Thanks to Michelle, I am now under 190 pounds and looking forward to hitting and maintaining my target weight. I feel healthy, have more energy and have had to buy new clothes."

"Michelle turned out to be a great resource for me. I initially met with her to get some organization around medical data. Michelle was suggested to me through The UltraWellness Center initially because I was confused and conflicted with my eating habits.

I wanted to get my head around all the data I was presented with and really understand the center in an organized way. I needed a long term plan that I was comfortable with.
Michelle first and foremost is a great communicator and has great interpersonal skills, which makes it very easy to communicate.
Each week we discussed deliverables for every session, and she did a great job listening and iterating what I said the next week in review.

She also did a great job of simplifying and taking the harsh tone of my internal food dialogue away. We then moved into my general goals for life. I always do pretty well with professional goals, but when it comes to personal ones for enjoyment, I let them fall by the wayside.
While I initially met with her to get the organization around medical data, we pivoted into some long term life goals. I'm not sure if other coaches would have pivoted like that to provide me that value. She is very enjoyable to work with and genuinely seems interested in helping.
This process made me aware that I need to attack all goals the same way."

What we ultimately worked on were tools I could use to plan my time and be intentional with that time, focusing on my work and family life balance.
